Thousands of people have lined the streets of Belfast for the city’s annual Gay Pride Parade.
Much of the attention this year focused on marriage equality in Northern Ireland.

More than 500,000 people are expected at the event, which started outside The Ritz Hotel, in Piccadilly, and will come to an end in Parliament Square.
The annual celebratory march, now in its 43rd year, stopped for a minute to remember the victims shot dead in a gay nightclub in Orlando. Approximately 40,000 people from around 300 organisations paraded down Oxford Street in a sea of glitter and colour on their way to Trafalgar Square.
Several thousand people crowded the streets outside the Israeli Embassy in west London, waving placards that read “Gaza: End the Siege” and “Freedom for Palestine.” The crowds blocked entire streets, but police said the protest was largely peaceful.
